On Top of the World

Jenny explains... "This image shows a triumphant boy holding a simple stick in the air after climbing to the top of a wooden pyramid. The wooden pyramid may be a modern addition to the woods but the hundred year old trees and the stick still evoke memories of childhood spent running and climbing trees and overcoming make believe or real obstacles in the way.

I love to take photos on old fashioned, often completely mechanical film cameras. Somehow I feel more connected to these images than I do with digital ones. Knowing that I have a limited amount of frames on a roll of film makes me slow down and try to really observe the scene before me
in order to capture that 'decisive moment'."
