The day I flew away (I)
by Nicola Anthony

Glass, pigment, plastic

An early glass artwork by international artist Nicola Anthony. The work is representative of her studies of childlike dreams, light, refraction, mapping and the fleeting moments that make us who we are. The words embedded in the glass are collected via her online and offline 'Word Collection Project' and are donated by visitors to her exhibitions and complete strangers, making them a wonderful cross section of the inner thoughts of society. These words are often uninhibited, as no one is watching, judging or expecting. Donate your own words: Word Collection Project
